Lahaina Strong: Our Message of Support and Unity

We were deeply saddened and heartbroken to learn of the devastating wild fire disaster in Lahaina, Maui. Despite the physical distance from our current location, our emotional bond to Lahaina and its residents remains unshaken. We fondly remember our time spent on Maui selling our art in the Kaanapali hotels, and particularly, our moments spent with fellow craftsmen in these hotels. Many of these friends and craftsmen lived in Lahaina. Their unwavering kindness, warmth, and spirited nature have left an indelible mark on our hearts.

In the face of this catastrophe, we can not help but be consumed with concern for everyone affected. However, if there is one thing we have learned from our time spent with the Lahaina community, it is the incredible strength, resilience, and unwavering loyalty the community has towards its beloved Maui. While the path to healing and rebuilding is undoubtedly challenging, we are confident that the people of Lahaina will not only rebuild their lives but will emerge stronger and even more united.

Our deepest condolences go out to everyone affected by this tragedy. To the families who have lost loved ones, homes, and livelihoods, we extend our profound sympathies. And to the entire Lahaina community, we send our thoughts, prayers, and unwavering support. We believe in the indomitable spirit of Lahaina and look forward to witnessing its triumphant return.
